We have different chances, reasons, dreams, and purposes in our life. We are 31 and lay up in one palace. We are different but should be in the same way. A lot of obstacles we faced in the past. We received it patiently. We always learn and try to be better.
The problems never stop staying in our palace. Sometimes we’re angry with our friends. We misunderstood each other. We can’t be one because of a problem that is difficult to be solved. Our life in 12 sciences 3 is unique. It’s up and down. It’s imperfect. But, we always try our best in order we can be one and walk in the same ways. We create friendship, hatred, jealousy, happiness etc. we have experiences and feelings. Everything is mixed and gives the different taste. Sweet, salty, bitter, and sour is part of us. However, we are friend and will be forever.

Adipura

Do you know about “ADIPURA” achievement? Ya, this achievement is an achievement that is given by the government or president for appreciating a city having cleanest area. Sidoarjo is one of the city that always contribute in the nomination of Adipura, even win in 3 consecutive victories of that achievement since 2008. Unfortunately, in 2011 Sidoarjo lost their record on defending Adipura achievement. In 2012, Sidoarjo took that achievement again for the fourth time. The trophy was given by the president of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono directly to Sidoarjo’s regent Syaiful Ilah in June 5th 2012.
The score of adipura is taken based on the facilities, offices, markets, housings, hospitals, streets, rivers, and settlements in that city. All of those parts are so difficult to be maintained alone by the central government (DPRD), but this winning is reached by Sidoarjo with the hard work and participation from all of parts of government and also the society of Sidoarjo.
In 6th June 2012, Sidoarjo’s regent brought and accompanied in procession the trophy of adipura. All of societies were welcoming this trophy with a high enthusiasm and pleasure. It was shown when the trophy was brought from Juanda airport to the town square. They seemed giving positive appreciation of the trophy.
After getting adipura’s trophy, Sidoarjo isn’t satisfied enough. It wants to defend the trophy and brings it home again in 2013. Sidoarjo’s regent is doing all of things for making Sidoarjo better than before. In 22th January 2013, Sidoarjo’s government made a movement by cultivating or planting some plants on the roadside. Starting from Pahlawan street up to Cemengkalang. Many kinds of plants were spreading, such as bakung, rambuza, and jasmine.
The program is made in order to make Sidoarjo wins adipura again. Moreover, Sidoarjo has been nominated in that competition. Sidoarjo will compete with the other city in over Indonesia for getting the trophy. Sidoarjo is included in middle city category. Otherwise, Surabaya has been included in big city category. At least, Sidoarjo will compete with 38 cities/regions over Indonesia.
A lot of things that should be repaired and need more attention not only from the government, but also the society. There are still several spots in Sidoarjo which contribute rubbish, such as Lingkar Timur area. The condition of Larangan terminal is also dirty. A lot of merchants throw away the rubbish there. One of the icons of Sidoarjo, GOR Delta is also contributing the amount of the rubbish. The data that can be collected, DKP just can serve conveyance of rubbish until 20%. Otherwise, the amount of the rubbish in a day up to 4000 meters cubic. The amount of the truck is also limited. DKP just has 26 trucks for serving 18 sub districts in Sidoarjo. In planned, Sidoarjo will add 10 more trucks. DKP just can handle 20% of rubbish, 80% remaining is the participation of Sidoarjo society.

Now, we know that our beloved city has a lot of potential for becoming beautiful city. We are as a good society, we should participate in cleaning the city and keeping it beautiful. Winning adipura isn’t only as a form of achievement, but also as a form of togetherness of Sidoarjo society.
